119 / slow

This is the one I used for wallpaper on my iPad mini,
though I've yet to see how to get the full frame on the screen.
Does exposure to microwaves/wifi emitted by all
these devices have a measurable effect on our health,
or is it healthier to tune out some of the negatives?
That is, don't think about it?

118 / slow learner

Resized these, I thought, for use as wallpaper on
my new iPad mini

some of them won't work at all, with apps all over the top,

but the main reason is I haven't found how
the device will resize, though I spent hours reading
various how-to sites..

these last two would have been best perhaps,
but all of my pictures need to be the full composition

...certainly I like them to be. They invariably were
severely cropped on the iPad screen. I tried several ways, including
photographing the screen on my Mac, with the iPad.
When I locate the one I used, I'll post it.

76/ nomadic genes

Am using some of my photos selected for another project,
a cross section from various Asian countries,
above: reliefs at Angkor Wat.

a young girl aligning pots in Bhaktapur

part of the astonishing horizon in Pokhara

& a small vivid area of the ghats in Varanasi. Stayed several months,
years ago, in the days when I really felt the pull of strong nomadic genes:
still love to visit new places, though now I also
enjoy returning to my place here.

36/ meditations

Yesterday Gerhard taught me some new tricks,
I finished off some pictures with them, such fun.

have been doing something similar by hand, more or less,
but these tools suggest new approaches too

the main problem is to not be in front of the screen
all day & night.
however tomorrow is the predicted day of judgement..
damn, I guess that means no power..
weird, really, that one group expects to be 'saved'
for the beliefs they have learnt.

30/ vision

This is the first one I've completed on the Mac, though
the separate photographs date from different trips to Thailand.
Had my eyes tested yesterday, pleased to discover
there is not much change.

29/ exercising

It's really giving my internal memory banks
a workover, to be moving frequently between
the pc & mac, today I lost the one above
through carelessness, had to finish it again.

& this was more complicated than it looks, as the bricks in
the wall are in perspective ~ when I matched those behind
the buddha in another photo, he became elongated.
Will look at it again in a few days, not sure it's finished.

02/ imagined memory

It's not going to be all family memories, or whatever you
are starting to think. Or it might be, we'll have to
see what happens.
Check with your own family (or friends)
about a time you remember: how many versions of
that same event did you hear?
Or jog your memory ~ take a colour, an animal, a time,
a feeling, sound, taste, smell.. invent a story.
In words or pictures, perhaps a dance.
?

A red dog one night heard a smell & felt so hungry
she barked until even the house groaned.

where did you go?
